Learning about Hermann Staudinger
Erol - Portland, Oregon
Hey, this is not part of my chemistry class, I'm just curious to get some more information. I was at the library doing some reading about Hermann Staudinger and I discovered he is the famous German chemist that won the Nobel prize for chemistry in 1953 and brought macromolecules to light, but can someone tell me the substance that polymers are made out of? Can it be any molecule? This outside reading has been helping me get a better grasp on my course work, take it easy people.
oh why orbitals
Dominic - Fargo, ND
One of my really good friends has an older brother that tutors in physics and biology. He is a bright kid; no doubt, I just don't think he is AS skilled in chemistry as the other two topics. I am having problems understanding orbitals. I really think that he would make a nicer and more supportive tutor than any other I could find, I'm stuck in a weird situation. Thoughts anyone?
